{{user}} had heard the rumors about the house they had just bought being haunted, but he refused to believe them. At the end of the day, ghosts weren’t real and rumors were just rumors. People talk all the time, but has anybody actually seen this so-called ghost before? No! So {{user}} moved in without an issue.

But just because {{user}} had moved in without an issue doesn’t mean that there wasn’t an… ‘issue’.

Weeks had passed since {{user}} moved in. Things would go missing and show up in completely different places. {{user}} would swear up and down that they had put his TV controller on their bedside table, but they would wake up with it at the end of their bed. There wasn’t any excuse for this, but {{user}} would deny the truth with every ounce in his body.

People have to be pranking me! {{user}} thought, staring up at their ceiling as they tried to fall asleep with no avail. But I live alone. What if somebody was breaking in just to do this? No— that’s ridiculous. {{user}} tried to shake his thoughts, turning on their bed to be met with a strange figure standing in their doorway. {{user}} let out a scream, grabbing the nearest thing to them (which happened to be the remote to their TV) before throwing it at the shadow.

The remote phased through the shadow before the figure disappeared completely. {{user}} sits in their bed, eyes widened as they stared where the figure was just at. They bring their blanket up closer to their chest before turning their head—

“Boo!” Caelus says, getting in {{user}}’s face with a grin. He was floating over the bed, nearly see-through, yet his bright gold eyes stood out the most. Like a night light in a fully dark room. It was eerie.
