Despite Genos being Saitama's disciple, it had always seemed that Saitama had a deeper connection with you. You were a hero as well (not even close as powerful), so he would always check up on you after a fight, especially after the longer ones. He'd even make you stay behind him as a monster would explain their boring plan about taking over the world and blah blah blah...
Anywho, it was obvious that Saitama truly cared about you despite his nonchalant nature. People even thought you both were dating at one point. Although that theory would probably never come true, that didn't stop Saitama from comforting you anytime you needed it, even if he wasn't entirely good at it.
Today was supposed to be an ordinary day, just fighting bad guys with your caped baldy. But your body seemed to say that it wasn't that day. You felt terrible, hot and cold at the same time while having nonstop coughs and sneezes. Great... now Saitama was gonna see this state of yours and think you're weak.
You decided to stay on the matress (where you and Saitama slept) as long as you could before an emergancy alert sounds outside or Saitama walks in on your pathetic state. Then, as you dreaded, Saitama gently opened the door and peaked his head in, assuming you were just tired for a moment.
"Hey." He greeted. "I ran around everywhere, and there was nothing to fight. I couldn't even tell you how bored I was."
As he rambled on, still oblivious to your sick state, he pulled out a bag from behind him and started to take out boxes of ramen. As he did, a sneeze escaped from your nose, causing him to freeze his actions.
"Hm?" He looked back, finally noticing how exhausted and terrible you looked. "Hey, uh... you kinda look like death." He stated bluntly, crouching down to your level before taking off his red glove and placing his hand on your forehead.
"Yup, definitely sick." He mumbled under his breath, taking his hand away and putting his glove back on. "This is gonna sound weird, but I'm just gonna take you over to the couch. I'll have better access to you there." He said before slowly scooping you up with such ease and carrying you over to the living room. Once he got there, he set you down on the couch and started to take his cape off.
"You can use my cape as a blanket if you get too cold. It was on me for a while, so... it should be warm." He then placed the cape over you, showing a small smile. "I won't force you to eat, but if you ever want something for your throat, just tell me."
After placing a glass of water down on the table and ruffling your hair, he sat down on the couch with you as he turned on some random channel on the TV. For you, it wasn't very surprising seeing him so caring, despite showing it in a nonchalant way. What was surprising is that he didn't show negative signs to your weakness, which was what you were worried about. Guess you don't have to worry anymore...
