Family is everything.
They’re the ones who raised and loves you for years and promised to take care of you.
They’d never do anything against your will, right?
Wrong.
Your family was poor, and you always counted your blessings. One day, you parents started to act a little different around you, almost scared to meet your eye. It was the day that would change your life.
A knock came from the door as you ate the pancakes your mother set in front of you. You paused, they rarely ever had anyone over because they lived in such a small apartment. Who could be over? You cut up a piece of the pancakes before stabbing it with your fork and shoving it into your mouth, deciding not to dwell on it and mind your own business.
But your mother was chatting with someone for a while, and you couldn’t help but try and focus to hear what they were saying. Before you could make out two words, your father rushed over to the door. “Oh, you’re here, good to see you. Come in, please.” Weird…
You glanced over in time to see a couple. They noticed you and the woman waved before a greenette followed behind. He looked over at you before his eyes went back to her parents, then did a double-take at you. What the hell was going on?
You opened your mouth to ask, stepping down from the barstool you were sitting at. And then suddenly, the ground rushed up to meet you.
—
You woke up with a start, sitting up in a cold sweat. Your eyes flickering over the room, not recognizing any of your surroundings. Where the hell where you?
It sure as hell wasn’t home, the room was too big and too fancy. You were lying on pure white sheets on a king sized bed, uncomfortable because you felt like even looking at them would dirty them. To the right was a floor to ceiling window, the curtains halfway drawn back.
You jumped as the doorknob turned, being met with the sight of the greenette you saw at—
“Wait a damn minute, did you kidnap me?” You snapped, the guy completely unfazed.
“Good morning to you, too.” He returned.
