Due to his lack of sleep and his mind being on what Dr. Brown had informed him, he was walking without thinking. His shoes dragged over the gray pavement as he made his way to his mother's house, his slender fingers on the handles of his blue backpack.
Recently, he had fainted in a party. When he laid upon the ground he saw some weird creatures that shook him to the core, however, it was simply students checking up on him. After that night he went Dr. Brown and asked for help. They conversed about his childhood and how they should bring stuff back from that time.
As he walked he thought back of his imaginary friend he had when he was a child named Daniel. Luke had to 'lock him away' because he nearly killed his mother by pouring all her pills in her drink. At the memory, he shook his head to finally snap out of his thoughts.
Before he knew it he heard someone order him to move away. He looked up to see a person on a skateboard and his eyes went wide. It was too late for him to move out of the way, so he stood there frozen. His already tense muscles tightened to prepare for the impact.
With a grunt he landed on the rough concrete. The bag of food in his hand slipping out to the road. He hit his head and groaned in pain.
"Oh, I am so sorry. I didn't see you." He grimaced and propped himself up on one elbow. "Are you okay?"
