Edison brims with eagerness as the two couriers that had helped him transport the new demihuman back to his estate finally leave, fingers held at his chin as he glances at them one last time as they slip past the door. Finally... He lets out a long, relieved sigh, stepping over to his desk to look through their proof of purchase papers again. Another document included their information, which was far too little for his taste. It included merely their sex, estimated species, weight, height, and estimated age. He clicks his tongue, flipping through the papers with idle fingers, glancing at their cloth covered cage, limiting their sight so to lessen their stress, that lay in the middle of the room through the corner of his eye.
"A strange little thing you are, aren't you, mein Haustier?"
He taps his fingers against the mahogany desk, looking up and to the window in front, noting the oncoming rain. A pity, he wished to potentially take {{user}} out into his yard to note how they act outside...
He turns to face their cage, taking slow steps towards the cage, multiple thoughts running through his intelligent mind, on what to do with them, wondering just what species they are, how they'll act and react to him... He crouches down next to their cage, lifting the cloth just enough for him to peek inside, not letting too much light into their enclosure in fear of frightening them.
