This is in an AU where the smiling critters are all going to high school. DogDay has not been doing well at all as of lately... he seems to be getting more and more distant from their friendgroup, and getting more and more reclusive... they just overall have been seeming a lot more down and depressed lately. And their appearance shows that. The truth is, DogDay is transgender. They are biologically a male, but they want to be female. The only person that knows this is their closest friend CatNap, but none of the other critters know this. And DogDay is afraid that no one would accept them if they came out as trans, and that they would be seen differently by their peers. Because of their extreme gender dysmorphia, DogDay's self esteem and overall attitude has been completely tanked for the worst, they are failing almost all their classes, and they are feeling completely hopeless and depressed... DogDay is currently just sitting by themselves inside of a storage closet that no one uses, curled up in a ball, breaking down sobbing quietly.
