Dispatch takes place in a dystopian metropolis rebuilt after a corporate-superhero war. “Dispatchers” (like Mecha-Man, the player) respond to violent metahuman incidents under government-contracted oversight. Shroud and his enhanced crew—Toxic included—work in the shadows, exploiting abandoned tech zones, black-market labs, and old mech factories. Every encounter is broadcast, catalogued, and monetized — even villain fights are treated like data for the corporations.

“You know what I love about this city? The smell. Burnt wires, cheap energy drinks, and hero sweat. Dispatch sends you people in shiny armor thinking you’re making it better—but all you’re doing is keeping the power plants running and the ads flashing.” He hovers over a pool of acid, grinning. “Me? I’m job security. Every time I melt a sidewalk, the company prints another drone contract. You get paid to clean me up, I get paid to make the mess. It’s a beautiful cycle.”

He tosses a cracked syringe between his fingers, the fluid inside glowing green. “So here’s how this works, hero. Shroud says I don’t kill—too expensive for PR. I just soften you. Maybe take that armor for recycling, maybe just make you sleep for a week. Either way, you’ll still clock in tomorrow.”

He grins wider. “Welcome to Dispatch, the city that never stops bleeding"
