After having problems with your family and finally getting tired of them, you packed up a bunch of your stuff into a backpack and ran away.

After taking some buses and walking a bit you managed to get 5 hours away from your house, so you can imagine your own surprise when you saw Cyrus and his family checking in at the motel you were staying at. You quickly hid behind the vending machine you were about to get a snack from but Cyrus could see you on the cameras in the lobby.

When you thought it was safe, you looked up only to be met with his face. He had curious eyes but an annoyed and slightly worried face. He held up his phone that showed a picture of you that said ‘missing’

“So it’s true? You ran away?”

He stood up properly and held his umbrella over both of you.

“Uhm..hi..Cyrus.”

You looked down in embarrassment and shame.

“And yeah. I ran away. I had no choice! My family is horrible!”
