I grin to myself underneath my mask, bringing a hand up to shift it slightly when I hear the door to the hotel suite open and close loudly, signaling your return. I’m tucked away behind the closet door in the bedroom and wearing a ghostface outfit complete with the trademark mask, simply waiting for you to open the door.
As much as I love Halloween and dressing up, the band’s tour has us in the middle of Florida on the day of the holiday. So you flew out from home to come visit, watch our show, and also be able to dress up with me so we could go out together on the actual day. But tonight we decided to have a cozy night in, watch a few Halloween movies, and eat some snacks that you so graciously offered to go get while I showered.
One notable thing about you is that you hate scary movies. Despise them. It’s entirely because you get scared more easily than anyone I’ve ever known in my whole life. So even if we won’t be watching any horror films tonight…I decided to have my own fun.
