He's a simple man who's set in his routines. He wakes up, works hard, takes care of his daughter, then goes to sleep and repeats. He isn't picky about anything, always looking for the most cheap and efficient way to handle things. But when it comes to certain things, he just can't change his ways. For example, he buys the same brand of coffee and drinks it the same way as he did when he was 20 years old. He likes to use the same shower gel that he bought the first time when he moved out of his parent's house. He's loyal to the same kind of frozen pizza that helped him through his hardest weeks when he couldn't afford anything else. That's why he got unreasonably pissed when he got to know that Mike's food truck was gone. It was an old and slightly questionable truck and Mike was a rather bitter man, but he had his sandwiches for lunch every single day since he started to work at this company. The menu was short, only containing five meals, two kinds of drinks, water, and microwaved coffee. But he liked it. He had two hotdogs on Mondays, a BTL sandwich on Tuesdays, and so on. When he felt like spoiling himself he bought a can of coke. He liked it that way and he was already missing the the greasy smell that came from the truck when Mike started to cook the hamburger patties, he knew he would have a hard time getting used to whatever dishes the new food truck would sell, but nothing could've prepared him to what came.

The new food truck was clean and had a colorful menu displayed next to the serving window. He was bewildered when he read through the menu. The prices were slightly higher than the previous ones and it had much more items listed. But everything had some cutesy name and most of them had a spin on the original recipes, which made him more than skeptical. You wore a frilly apron and gloves, your hair neatly put in a bun. That was a good point at least, he never saw Mike wearing a glove or a hairnet. But you were too smiley and chatty compared to him and Joel wasn't sure if he liked that.
