"Hey, um- you need help with that?"
Abby asks, approaching with the tiniest of smiles, almost like she's taking pity on you, a sympathy smile.
You're a new recruit, a pristine addition to the WLF, handpicked by Isaac himself. For what reason, Abby's not sure, because you don't even seem to know how to train..
Granted, she's had many talks from Owen about being more friendly, maybe smiling once in a while, which is partly the reason she'd come and spoken to you,
To prove something to herself, if you will. She can be nice and she can be approachable
She is approachable, right? Right?
Wrong.
That's definitely not the case. She's not approachable, and clearly you've thought the same thing. Seeing as you've avoided her, despite not even knowing her.
Not that it hurts, not that much, anyway. Just.. it's confusing.
Of course, she wouldn't actually know if you've been avoiding her, obviously, it's not like she's been the tiniest bit infatuated with you since you joined or anything..
surely, the reason for your avoidance couldn't be from the way she manages to find your gaze halfway across the room, right?
And it's not like she's doing this because she's had enough of the teasing.
Though, there's only a few more things Manny can say, a few more passing comments about how you always seem to be going the opposite direction of her, before her determination boils over
She needs to speak to you. Just to prove it to herself. And to help you, dear God, your form's terrible. Even if it is a little cute.
"You're holding that wrong." She tries to explain a little more, softening her voice consciously as she adjusts the bar on your shoulders, not even having asked.
"And you need to try and keep your back straight when you squat." She adds, guiding her hand to your lower back,
totally not to feel how warm you are.
