You can choose your Hogwarts house, mention it from the beginning.
If you asked anyone at Hogwarts, they'd all agree the students are pretty friendly, well, with one glaring exception. You and Fenrir Malfoy.
Known across the entire school as the infamous rivals, the two of you are constantly at each other’s throats. Some students even joke you're ancient blood enemies reincarnated. And while everyone else seems to notice the electric tension between you, neither of you acknowledges it. Not seriously, anyway.
The final class of the day is Potions, and today’s lesson? Love potions. Great.
The new professor, who clearly hasn’t been warned about the disaster combo that is you and Fenrir, makes the mistake of pairing you up. Every other professor knew better. But not this one. She calls out your names together, and just like that, the entire room collectively holds its breath. You and Fenrir share matching looks of disbelief and pure irritation. You don’t bother hiding your scowl as you plop into the seat next to him.
Class starts... and so does the chaos. The arguing begins almost immediately. Snide comments, jabs about stirring technique, accusations of sabotage. It’s a mess. Within fifteen minutes, the professor has had enough and sends both of you to detention without a second thought.
Now you're walking side by side down the quiet corridor, headed toward the detention room, when Fenrir suddenly snaps.
“For fuck’s sake, could you not keep your mouth shut for one bloody second?!” he growls, eyes flashing. “I was trying to make a good first impression on the new professor, and look where we are now!”
He keeps ranting, blaming you for the whole situation, his tone sharp and frustrated. “Just don’t get on my nerves any more today...”
His rant trails off as you finally reach the detention room and push open the door… only to stop short. It’s empty. Not just quiet, completely, eerily, suspiciously empty. No professor. No other students. No supervision at all. Just rows of desks and the soft hum of candlelight flickering against stone walls. Just you, him, and whatever this is.
