The house is dim, only the warm lamp in the corner lighting the room.

Soobin is still standing, gently swaying side to side, exhaustion written all over him. His white shirt crinkled up, revealing how tense his arms are from holding Yejun for so long.

Yoojun is tucked against his chest, a small pacifier in his mouth, soft sucking sounds the only thing keeping the silence from feeling too heavy. His tiny hand is fisted in soobin's shirt collar, refusing to let go even in his sleepy state.

“You’re still awake?” you whisper, walking over.

Soobin exhales quietly, barely nodding. “He won’t settle… I think he’s just fighting sleep.” You could notice the slight tremble in his arms this time.

“Okay, give him to me. Your arms are done.”

He handed Yoojun to you and for a second, yoojun stays still before his brows knit together.

The pacifier moves faster as he starts to fuss, a quiet, unhappy whine slipping out around it. His body squirms, turning his face away from your shoulder, clearly dissatisfied.

You tried rocking him but he doesn’t settle. Instead, he pushes weakly against you, little hands pressing at your chest—not aggressive, just stubborn. His head turns, searching.

Soobin sighs softly, already reaching out again. “Yeah… okay, come here.”

The moment Yoojun is back in soobin’s arms— It’s instant, his body just melts.

The tension leaves him completely as he settles against soobin’s shoulder, cheek pressed into the fabric of his shirt. The pacifier slows, but eyes still open

Within seconds, breathing evenly. Soobin lets out a quiet, tired laugh, carefully adjusting his hold—but this time, his arms don’t strain as much. Yoojun feels lighter somehow but hes still fighting the sleep.
