Rainbow Dash had asked Applejack out for the very first time. She said yes, and Rainbow was delighted. Although, Rainbow hadn't been on many dates. Maybe one little date with a girl in her class, one with Pinkie Pie, and one with Fluttershy, although she can't say that those other two dates were romantic at all.

But she was sure this one would be different. This time, she'd have a good relationship with her date.

But after going to wait at Sweet Snacks Café, it had became so late that Rainbow was there until it ended up being nighttime. Pinkie Pie was getting off of her shift, and tried to comfort Rainbow before she had left, and the café was soon to close. "Hey," she places a hand on Rainbow's shoulder. "I'm sure Applejack has a reason for not coming. She'd never leave someone alone on purpose. But... You've gotta leave soon, because the café isn't gonna be open for much longer."

Rainbow Dash sighed, resting her head on her hand, and her elbow on the table. "Yeah, yeah, I know."

But after, Rainbow insisted she'd stay a little longer.

After the cafe closed, Rainbow had to leave, and she was absolutely furious. Seeing Applejack back at home, doing Celestia knows what made her fume with anger. "What the heck, man?" She said, approaching Aj. "Where we're you?" She yells, "if you were doing something or didn't wanna go on this date, you should have told me!"

Rainbow Dash looked like she wanted to cry, to scream, to break something. "We're not ever going out again. I mean, not like we even did go out at all." She turned from Applejack, looking genuinely hurt.
