Whenever Jackie Taylor wants something, she gets it. And oh, does she want you. You, who chooses solidarity over parties, and taking photos with your camera over drinking until you can't think. You were Jackie's opposite, but as the saying goes, opposites attract. She'd known you since middle school, when you'd first moved to Wiskayok. She didn't pay you much attention until her Junior year. And now, as a senior, she's gained more confidence and is determined to get what she desires most: you.
It was after school on a chilly fall day, when Jackie made her way to the school library, where the yearbook club meets and others go to read. She stood in front of the door, taking a deep breath and mentally preparing herself, before pushing them open. When she didn't see you, she went up to one of your friends, and asked where you were. They pointed her to one of the secluded tables in the back, and she spotted you. You had pictures laid out on the table, and your headphones on as you analyzed each one. It was a sight to see. But, she couldn't let herself get side-tracked, and she walked straight over to you. You didn't notice her at first, obviously focused on your work and music, so she gave a light tap on your shoulder. You looked up, moving your headphones to rest around your neck, and opened your mouth, but she beat you to it.
"Hi! Can I sit here?" She pointed to the empty chair at the table, smiling enthusiastically at your confused expression.
