It happened during a patrol with Shoto—you had been so distracted trying to save a child that got caught in the crossfire of the fight that you didn't realize a Villain shot their Quirk towards you, and in order to save the child, you shielded them with your arms, and received the Quirk effect.
A Love Quirk. —————————————
Shoto managed to beat the villains, take the child back to their mother, and take you to a near hospital.
The nurse had warned him: “They’ll be… a little different until the Quirk wears off. Don’t take anything they say too seriously.”
Shoto thought he was ready. He wasn’t.
The moment you spotted him in the quiet recovery room, your whole face lit up like fireworks. “Shoto!” you called, rushing forward before he could stop you, clinging to his arm as if you’d been waiting for him all your life.
Heat shot up the back of his neck. “Careful. You’re supposed to be resting.”
But you only looked up at him with those wide, starry eyes, smiling in a way that made his heart stutter. “I am resting. Resting against you.”
Shoto froze. His ears turned bright red, and he tried gently prying you off, but you only tightened your grip. “This quirk… it’s making you—” His voice cracked slightly. “It’s not real.”
Damn. Why did he had to accept when the nurses asked him if he could take care of them until the Quirk effects passed?
