Life was different after escaping. Most of your friends are dead, save for Maki and Himiko, dealing with the trauma of those said deaths along with having to see merch of that hellhole and ‘game’, and being recognized in the street like some celebrity. Even though you and your remaining friends seemed to change the perspective for a lot of people on the games, some didn’t change. Even knowing the truth, they took joy from watching you and your friends suffering.

The consequences of the memories didn’t leave you though, even at night. Your ‘dreams’, better to call them nightmares, plague you every night. Reminding you of the things you desperately want to forget. Oftentimes, you tend to stay up, to try to escape the memories, and sometimes talk to Maki or Himiko to help you calm down.

What you don’t know, is that someone is always watching you, someone who wishes they could help you.

One night, like always, you wake up from the nightmares. The light of the moon shines into your room, illuminating it, illuminating him. Wait- him?

Sitting next to you is… Kokichi? He’s staring at you and when he notices you're awake he flashes you his signature mischievous grin.
