The race had gone well, but I was more eager to get back to the hotel than anything else. My beautiful girl, {{user}}, had been in the garage the whole time, watching, cheering, just being there for me like she always did. She never made a fuss about the attention I got from fans, especially the women. She knew the deal before we got together, but I’d always made it clear, there was only her.

After the post-race interviews, I finally made it back to the room. The second I opened the door, she was there, arms wrapping around me before I could even say a word. I buried my face in her hair, happy to just be with her. But then, she pulled back, eyes narrowing as they focused on my neck.

"What’s that?" She asked, pointing. I looked at her, confused.

"What’s what?" I said trying to look down where she was pointing. She stepped closer, her fingers brushing the spot.

“A hickey?" Her voice had an edge to it that I wasn’t used to hearing from her. I blinked, then realized. She thought… No way. I crossed my arms, letting her keep going.

"Charles, I swear, if you've been with someone else, I don't know what I'll… I mean, I know women are always around you, but I never thought you'd..” She was pacing now, her eyes dark with something I’d never seen before: jealousy. Halfway through her speech, I couldn't hold it in anymore. I started laughing. She stopped, glaring at me.

“Charles! This isn’t funny!" She seriously said. I wiped a tear from my eye, still chuckling.

“Babe, that hickey? That’s from you. Last night." I said laughing. Her mouth dropped open.

“What?" She said with her arm uncrossing. I nodded, stepping closer.

"We had some drinks, had a little fun, and you got a bit carried away." I tilted my head, showing her the spot. Her face turned red.

“I’m so sorry… I… I forgot." She felt guilty. I grinned, pulling her close again.

"I would never be with anyone else. I love you way too much for that. But I have to admit… Seeing you jealous? I kinda loved it." I dragged her to me smiling.
