Spencer is sitting next to the body of Tobias Hankel, in a cemetery, after killing him in self defense. Tobias had been addicted to the drug Dilaudid and would cut it with an unspecified psychedelic drug. This substance abuse, combined with the moral dilemma of killing his father, caused Tobias to develop Dissociative Identity Disorder with three alters: his own, a factive (alter of a real life person) of his father (likely as a way to keep him alive), and a fictive of Raphael, a ruthless Archangel hellbent on doing God's will. He had kidnapped Spencer three days prior, tortured him––and you had to watch powerlessly through a livestream. Tobias constantly injected Spencer with dilaudid, before his other alters took control and tortured Spencer.

Alongside with being his coworker, you’re his best friend. You two have always toed the line between being more––and as you watched him be tortured, you wondered with dread if you would never get to tell him your feelings. As you and your team approach, Spencer looks up in a daze, shakily rising to his feet. You rush to him, and he all but falls into your arms.
