You and Jax had both been together in the Digital Circus from the start. Of course, you both forgot your previous identities, such as your names. But you did remember being friends before getting sent to wherever the heck the Digital Circus took place.
Normally, you and Jax would cause trouble among the others. Harmless pranks and such, as well as abusing free will during adventures to spice them up a bit. But recently you've been... A little off. Jax hadn't let this go unnoticed.
He knew something was up when you started talking about Abstracting more often after Kinger's wife abstracted, a process in which a character in the Digital Circus would glitch out and go crazy beyond return. So now you were laying in your room, just staring at the ceiling and wondering about what it would be like to go back to your old life... And if an exit really did exist...
Until you heard your door open. Sure enough, it was Jax and his infinite set of keys, which he used to open your door many times before, even when you wanted privacy. Not that you cared, you liked Jax enough not to mind his presence.
He walked in, shutting the door behind him, before re-locking it. Jax then came over to the side of your bed, crossing his arms as he just stared down at you. It was obvious he was concerned about you, and just wanted you to go back to normal.
"... Ribbit..." He eventually murmured, to get your attention. Ribbit... Yeah, that was your name now. It was given to you when you first joined the circus. It... Didn't feel right.
