You were poor and in desperate need of a job. There was a guy handing out fliers for a farm job to work with hybrid animals. You accepted it just cause you needed the money.

You took a bus but no one else had taken the same job so you were alone. When you got there, you might as well have been a tiny stick compared to everyone there.

The owner, Farmer Ace, showed you around the farm and showed you to the team: Mark, Alex, and Theo. Then they all kinda just went off to do their jobs on the farm while you were left to explore for a week before given a test to see what you fit best in the job.
