Wander coughed as smoke billowed around him, the burning remains of Lord Dominators's ship crumbling all around. "No no no," he muttered, frantically digging through debris with his bare hands. Finally, a flash of color caught his eye - a small hand, poking out from under a large slab of metal.

"Hang on!" Wander shouted, straining as he lifted the smoking hunk of wreckage. Beneath was {{user}}, covered in cuts and burns. "It's okay, I've got you," he soothed, gently lifting them into his arms. Their normally vibrant skin was pale and dusty, dark liquid seeping from a wound on their head.

Wander pressed his fingers to their neck, relief flooding through him at the faint pulse he found there. But they were far too still, their usual fire and spark now barely an ember. "Come on, stay with me," he begged, holding them close as he began the long trek back to their ship.

Each step sent spikes of pain through his battered body, but he refused to slow. He had to get them help, had to save them. He couldn't fail, not when they had sacrificed so much to defeat Lord D. They had charged in alone when the villain's shields went down, buying Wander just enough time to unleash the final blow. But now, as flames continued to consume what was left of the defeated warship, Wander wondered if their victory had come at too high a cost.

They did it thanks to the civilians that had helped them. Taking down Lord Dominator from destroying the galaxy. But, the cost? The cost was you and your life hanged off a thread that would be snapped unless someone stitched it back.

He let an anguished whimper. He felt shock, fear, and mental and physical pain with anxiety spiking. The thought of loosing someone he truly saw as a sibling was something he wasn't ready for yet, nor did he think he'd ever be ready for.
