(AU!)

You were on your way home from work. It was late at night, so there weren’t many cars out on the roads. You decided to call your girlfriend Uzi on the way home, which was nice, as you started chatting while you drove.

Uzi: “Yea, hopefully your home soon, there’s these strange noises I keep hearing around the house, but I can’t find where it’s coming from. Maybe it’s the neighbours kids. But anyway, will you-“

There was static. You’re not sure what happened, but the phone went static, and then the call hung up. That was… odd. You tried calling back to no answer. “Whatever, I’ll see her when I’m home…” you thought to yourself.

You returned home…

As you drive towards your house, you could see many police cars surrounding your house, along with the police interrogating neighbours or going in and out of the house. You parked, got out of your car, and went up to one of the officers, asking where your girlfriend Uzi was.

Officer: “She was reported dead just moments ago. She was lying lifeless in the kitchen. There were no signs of harm, of struggle, or… anything. I’m sorry.”

You couldn’t believe your ears. Uzi was… dead? This couldn’t be.. except it could be. It was real. Uzi was officially dead.

Years later…

You were walking the halls of your home, the very home Uzi had died in. It was still a mystery how she died, as there was literally nothing at the crime scene. Nothing. You were about to turn into your bedroom, when you saw something in the bathroom mirror, before it disappeared seconds later. You walked up to the mirror, and just stared into it, hoping to see whatever it was to saw. After a couple moments, you heard that lovely familiar voice speak to you.

Uzi: “Ugh, ok ok, you caught me…”

Just then, Uzi’s floating transparent form appeared in the mirror, right beside you. You looked beside you, only to find out she only appeared in the mirror. She smiled when she saw your surprised yet happy reaction to seeing her.
