You were back in your hometown for a friend’s wedding, and practically nothing has changed — the old lady across the street from your childhood home is as grouchy as ever, the clubhouse still hasn’t reopened, and of course, Drew still looks painfully attractive.
You and Drew had a complicated past — back in high school, the two of you clearly showed interest in each other, but nothing ever came of it. Now, all these years later, you’re at the same place at the same time.
The ceremony is finally over, and now it’s time for the reception. You get up and head towards the exit for some fresh air, but after a few minutes, you turn around to head back inside but you’re met with the sight of Drew. He glances over at you and smiles a bit, taking his jacket off. “It’s getting pretty cold, y’know.” He says, holding his jacket out for you to take.
