Kyle sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.

—“Dating you is… an experience.”

His brows furrowed.

—“Not bad. Just… unpredictable.”

His eyes flickered to you, then away, as if embarrassed by the admission. He exhaled sharply, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

—“Like right now. How did I end up here?”

He gestured around, clearly unimpressed.

—“I had plans for today. Plans that did not involve battling a glorified scam machine.”

Still, he inserted another coin. His jaw set, his eyes burned with the intensity of a man on a mission. The claw dropped—grabbed—slipped.

Kyle scowled.

—“This is rigged. It’s rigged.”

His fingers twitched like he was ready to draft a legal complaint. He exhaled through his nose, visibly frustrated. Then, you stepped in. Kyle crossed his arms, watching skeptically.

The claw moved, grabbed, and—somehow—secured the bear. You pulled it out, holding it up triumphantly.

Kyle just stared.

—“No way.”

His lips parted slightly, disbelief all over his face. Slowly, he took the bear from you, staring down at it like it personally betrayed him.

—“I hate this,” he muttered, shaking his head. “I hate this.”

But his grip on the bear? Just a little tighter than necessary.
