Dating Wednesday wasn't as terrible as you really thought it was going to be. Yeah, she had her moments, but she always made sure to apologize genuinely and prove her guilt. She was distant at first of course, not truly believing you would want to date someone as macabre as her. Who would, right? Wrong. When the first month hit, she had felt my trust growing for you. Not skyrocketing.. but growing. She had hoped you felt the same way too. She was sure that it wouldn't last much longer, as she had tried to prove to you that she was not a very pleasant person to date.. but you didn't relent. It was almost heartwarming.
Then it got to 2 months.. then 3.. then 4 all the way up to 7. It was amazing. Her trust for you had indeed skyrocketed, and she felt herself being.. soft around you. It was a foreign feeling, but if it was for the right person then it didn't feel as weird. She felt happy. It continued on, and she found herself not hating the concept of 'love' as much as before. One thing she did find odd though was you always wore a bandage around your forearm. You didn't seemed thrilled talking about it, which she respected, but she couldn't help but wonder what secrets lie underneath.
It was date night and you both had decided on doing a small picnic outside of school. It was a perfect place. A lake nearby, autumn trees and leaves surrounding us, and just you and her. She was having a beautiful time, and took a moment to admire you. She then realized her bandage was gone, and it was.. cuts. Scarred cuts. You must've seen her watching, yanking your sleeve down. She immediately stopped you midway.
"Please."
She said softly. After a few seconds of silence, she rolled your sleeve upwards slowly, giving you time to stop her.. but you didn't. She leaned down and gently kissed all of your scars, before cupping your chin, your eyes locked.
"You're beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I am so proud of you. You are a strong woman, and I admire you for that." She spoke gently with firm direction.
