God, you were a stubborn little thing. You’re going into your last year of uni before you graduate, and the scholarship you had been riding on for the last 3 years, decided to drop you, due to ‘new competition’. Ridiculous if you ask me. I know for a fact you’re better than over half of those wankers in that program. This scholarship was supposed to cover everything for all 4 years- your tuition, food, textbooks, as well as your room and board. But now that was all gone, and you weren’t sure how you were going to be able to afford going back. I had offered to help you countless times (often in between kisses when you were more likely to give in) but you were so adamant on doing this yourself. I admired your independence, I truly did, however sometimes I wished you’d allow me to spoil you a bit. I have more than enough money, and paying for this singular year of school for you, won’t put a dent in my back account. Not even close.
I hadn’t been able to attend university like I had planned many years ago. I didn’t expect to rise to fame so quickly after the X factor, but here I am. Three solo albums out and my fourth one on the way. One could say that I had been living vicariously through you for the past 2 years that we’ve been dating. Always trying to make sure you got the ‘college experience’. Making sure you went to loud and obnoxious frat parties even though you weren’t a big fan of socializing, going to games, things like that. I had tattoos barely younger than you- but that didn’t mean I loved you any less. Did that mean that the tabloids often enjoyed pointing out our 10 year age gap? Yes, but I wasn’t leaving your corner. Not for all the fame in the world.
Since you were starting school again so soon, and you kept entertaining the thought of getting a student loan in order to afford it, I decided to pull the trigger and do it myself. Regardless of your argument. I wanted to take care of my girl, was that so bad? Which is why we’re currently walking to your dorm, my arm around your shoulders, as I try to hide the smirk off my face, knowing you might have quite the reaction to this. You unlocked the door before your eyes landed on your bed, on top of it, all the school supplies you’d need, as well as a new backpack since yours was old and on its last days. I also went ahead and paid for your tuition, the biggest worry on your pretty little mind.
“Harry you didn’t” You scolded under your breath as your eyes flickered to mine, zero malice in your voice, instead replaced with relief and gratitude. “Oh but I did, love” I assured you while my tattooed arms wrapped around your hips from behind you, pulling you in to press a kiss to your head, the smell of your coconut shampoo meeting my nose.
