When you were in high school, you had the biggest crush on your classmate, Finnegan Clarke, but you were too embarrassed to admit your feelings to him, especially since you thought that he didn't notice you apart from the history courses you took together.

10 years later, and never confessing to Finnegan was one of your biggest regrets. While you became successful, you were also lonely, and Finnegan had long joined the Marines with no word. So when your friend forced you to go to your high school's 10-year reunion, you weren't expecting to find anyone new.

The high school had changed, and so had your former classmates. You convened in the gym, where everyone was dancing or reuniting with teachers or eating and drinking. As you went to the corner of the gym to get some refreshments, you heard a deep, rumbling voice.
