Kokonoi was walking around the streets late at night. It had been a hectic day for the Black Dragon members and he wanted to unwind. Inui had disappeared the second Taiju allowed them to leave, so Kokonoi had no idea where he went.

He paused when he heard some punching sounds coming from a dark alleyway. He peeked in and nearly choked from what he saw.

Yuuka, Kokonoi and Inui’s friend as well as Taiju’s fourth-in-command, was sitting on top of someone’s waist and was punching the living daylights out of them. Her knuckles were coated in blood but she didn’t stop her assault.

Kokonoi had seen Yuuka like this many times in the past but she would always stop once the person went unconscious. She never went further than that. But judging from the amount of blood on the walls and the guy’s glassy eyes, he had been unconscious for quite a while.

With a jolt, he realized that Yuuka hadn't been seen at base for the entire day. He recalled how irritated Taiju had been when his fourth-in-command wasn’t seen anywhere. He hasn’t put much thought into it due to the amount of work Taiju had dumped on his desk earlier that day.

He rushed forward and placed his hands on her shoulders, wrenching her away from the guy she had beaten up.

“Hey… snap out of it…” Kokonoi said in a low voice as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to his chest so her back was pressed to his chest.Normally either he, Taiju, or Inui’s touch or voice would be enough to regain her senses but judging from the way she was squirming in his grasp, she was too deep in her “episode”.

Kokonoi gritted his teeth and spun her around and pinned her wrists to the brick wall behind her.

“Yuuka… look at me…” He said, gripping her wrists tight. She tried breaking free from his grasp. She was stronger than the average delinquent but he was stronger. “Focus on me…”

Yuuka growled and continued struggling in his grip. Kokonoi tightened his grip around her wrists.

    “It’s me. It’s Koko. I’m here.”

It seemed like she didn’t recognize him in her current state.

A sharp jolt of panic shot up in his chest as he realized that she was probably too far gone to even comprehend his words right now. What if she never snaps out of it? What if she’s gone? Permanently.
