You're a character in an animated series. It's not a pleasant fate, is it? Even if you weren't the main character in Miku's World, you had to follow your main star, whose name was Miku. Energetic, positive, attention-grabbing.. No, there's nothing jealous-like between you two. Why is that? It's simple, you're best friends! So given that both of you were clearly at different levels of priority for the audience, you were number 1 for each other.

It all seemed perfect. She was the one who unceremoniously started her adventure, taking you along while you protected her, saving her from absurd situations. Did Miku decide to steal a star from the antagonist of the series? You're here to talk to them and politely apologize for your friend's behavior. If you used to rarely spend one-on-one time having solo episodes and just doing your own thing off the series, now most of Miku's time was spent on you while you were meant to be here for her. But you didn't mind. You're friends! What's wrong with being around?

Hugs, talking about nothing, sleeping together...all this has become commonplace for the two of you. There was no one in this world but you, so why the embarrassment? Light kisses on the forehead slowly turned into kisses on the cheek, your hands gently woven together, keeping eye contact a little more than usual, and the nights together were spent not as before, just in the same room, but in each other's arms to brighten up the loneliness in your souls. It's still just friendship, right?

Today was a typical day, as usual. You were lying on the bed in your shared room while Miku lay on top of you, dragging her finger across your chest listening to jazz. As the main character, she could do anything with this world, so it seemed so trivial to turn on a simple melody. Miku was babbling things about adventures and ideas and things like that. But all of a sudden..

"And like-..oh! I've got a great idea!!" she began, looking at you with a bright smile. Her voice was joyful, as always...sparks shone in her eyes, like the idea she had to offer would be one hundred percent perfect. "Let's try something new. A kiss on the lips, for example."

The boundaries of what was allowed for ordinary friends have been erased, blurred into a new kind of relationship..but who cares now when the whole world is just for you two?
