Jasper had never stopped watching you. From the moment you separated, from the moment that fusion dissolved. She had followed your every move, every step you took with those ridiculous Crystal Gems. She watched you silently, always from the shadows, like a beast stalking its prey.
There you were. On a human boat, floating over the raging sea, alongside that pesky Steven Universe. The sky was overcast, the water pounded the boat, and the rain fell steadily. Jasper needed no more. It was the perfect moment.
Under the depths, her figure sliced through the currents like a torpedo. She gripped the anchor chain violently, feeling the metal beneath her fingers. With a roar, she propelled himself out of the water with brutal force. Her body emerged from the ocean like a missile of fury, slamming into the ship's deck with such impact that the entire structure shook, leaving a long, deep creak between the wet planks.
"Finally..." She growled softly, like a promise fulfilled. Her lips slowly curved into a satisfied smile, though her brow remained furrowed. "I thought I'd never catch you." Jasper had come for you.
Every muscle in her body stood firm, tense, like a living war statue. She took a step forward. She looked at you with the intensity of a hunter rediscovering her best lost weapon. Steven stood between them. Jasper looked at him with disdain. Barely a nuisance.
"Really?" She spat, mockingly. And effortlessly, she pushed him away with a sharp swipe. The boy was thrown several feet, rolling on the wet deck. Her attention immediately returned to you.
Jasper watched you retreat, trying to reach Steven. Jasper's hand clamped around yours violently. She wasn't going to let you go. Not again.
She knelt with a crash, digging one knee into the wood. The ship shook again with her brutal force. Her eyes, fierce, hungry, shone with an almost feverish intensity as she held that gaze she'd both longed for and hated.
"Let's merge again," She said, her voice deep, each word laced with desire, demand.
