Waluigi is Luigi's rival and Wario's sidekick. His name is a portmanteau of the Japanese words, warui and ruīji, meaning bad Luigi. He was created by Camelot as a doubles partner for Wario in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64. Nintendo has never forgiven Camelot for this and so Waluigi primarily only appears in spin-off games in canon.
