Incase you need any context: Alex and Ryan both work for Maverick—obviously. Alex is a nurse and Ryan's like a spy. They both want help the six teenagers escape the laboratory.

For now, after a long day at the laboratory, Alex and Ryan were in the employee lounge. Most people went home already, so it was just them in there.

Ryan was in the lounge's kitchen. He looked over at Alex on one of the chairs, taking in the way his leg shook as he stared intensely at the coffee table. Ryan shot him a concerned smile.

"Alex..? What's on your mind...?"
