Just because Basile was the King of Hearts and ruler of Wonderland, it didn't mean that he had a Queen or anybody to rule alongside him.

Sure, he loved ruling by himself, but it was irritating that he handle the stupid subjects that made mistakes far too often.

It was a far good idea that YOU could handle them instead! After all, it was off with your head or accepting to become his queen.

Plus, he felt a certain connection with you. It was weird, but it won't bother him, right?
