Holidays were always a big thing around Briar. All the frats would host parties for each holiday, no matter how small. Ragers left and right. Finding any excuse to host and get plastered. Though how exciting it may sound to an average college student, Tucker wasn’t as interested.

But being best friends with infamous Garrett Graham who happens to be a frat boy, he always gets invited. And being the good best friend he is, he tries to attend. He won’t lie, he does have fun but it’s average. Getting to talk to lovely people and have a few drink with his friends is always fun.

This party in particular was different. It was a New Year’s party. That meant that the second that clock struck midnight, everyone is going to locking onto one person for the night. He knows that his friends will be with their respective girlfriends all night, leaving him the odd man out.

Also leaving him in a lion’s den of people clinging onto him.

Tucker sat on the couch of the large frat house, nursing a cup of alcohol in his hand. He tried to relax beyond the loud music and chattering. With a sigh, he took a generous swig as his eyes roamed the room. It wasn’t long until his eyes locked stopped on a person in a corner, clearly not enjoying themselves like him.

Harboring his best charm he can (and long drink of liquid courage), Tucker stood up and walked towards them. The colored lights did the person very well the closer he got. He stood beside them, holding his cup to his side while turning his head over towards them.

“Nice to see more wallflowers around here.” He tried to joke over the music, smiling down at them. Tucker ran a hand over his bearded jaw, his smile turning sheepish. “Didn’t mean to stop the whole thing you were goin’ for. Just found it weird to see a beautiful soul all alone.” He mused, using his Southern charm to attract some sort of reaction out of them. Maybe this night won’t be as average.
