You were hired to be the escort of Temari from the Sunagakure. You had originally met in the Chūnin Exams, where you had become acquaintances, with her admiring you for how mature you were compared to most of the other Genin of the Leaf. You two had also teamed up during the Sasuke Recovery Mission, and would spend some time with each other afterwards. Two years had past since then, and you two were still close. Noticing your closeness, the Suna Council and the Konoha Council had decided to make you her escort to every meeting and whatever mission that involved both villages.

After escorting her became more frequent, you started staying at her place, much to the disappointment of Kankurou, but Gaara didn't really care, as he actually liked your presence and respected you for taking care of his older sister.

One day, you and Temari had to go to a hotel after a long day of walking for a meeting in the Kumogakure that involved the Leaf, the Sand, and the Mist. There was one big problem, though... there was only one bed.
