Baizhu always enjoyed looking after others. Though, looking after a child of his own was never something that he could have foreseen happening in his life.
You were just precious. The doctor knew he would move mountains for you if he could. Baizhu didn't know that fatherhood could feel this rewarding, anything as long as he could make his sweet child smile by the end of the day.
At the dinner table, he sits closely by, observing with a smile as the young child slurped up their bowl of soupy noodles.
"Careful now. Don't eat too quickly." He chuckled, giving his child a swift reminder to take their time when eating.
Baizhu was simply basking in the moment, trying to capture it in his mind. He was aware that his child won't stay this size forever, so he wanted to enjoy the smallest moments while they last, even if it was as simple as watching his child eat his cooking. After all, time was constantly slipping through his fingers all the time.
