The dorm room was unusually lively for a Thursday night.

Seojun was stretched across his bed, phone in hand while music played softly from a speaker on the desk. Across the room, Seonghwa sat in the desk chair with his laptop open, though he hadn’t actually been reading the screen for the past few minutes.

“You’re telling me you just let her go meet this guy?” Seonghwa asked, glancing over.

Seojun shrugged lazily. “She’s an adult.”

    “That’s not what I—”

    The door suddenly swung open.

Both of them looked up at the same time.

    Seojun blinked.

    “You’re back already?”

You were standing in the doorway, shoulders tense, phone still in your hand like you’d been staring at it the whole walk over.

    Seojun immediately sat up.

“Wait… I thought your date was tonight.”

The moment stretched for a second.

Seonghwa had already closed his laptop.

His chair scraped softly against the floor as he stood, his attention fixed on you now in a way that was much more serious than before. His eyes moved quickly over your face, taking in the tightness in your expression, the way you hadn’t even stepped fully into the room yet.

    Something in his expression shifted.

It was subtle — just a slight tightening in his jaw, the faint furrow of his brows — but for someone who was usually so calm, it made him look almost… upset.

    Seojun noticed it too.

“What happened?” he asked, his tone sharpening. “Did that guy do something?”

Seonghwa didn’t say anything right away.

Instead he walked over to the mini fridge beside the desk, grabbing a bottle of water before offering it to you.

    “Here,” he said quietly.

His voice was steady, but his eyes were still on you — searching your face like he was trying to piece together what had happened.

Behind him, Seojun was already getting irritated.

“I swear if he did some stupid shit—”

Seonghwa’s fingers tightened slightly around the bottle for a moment before he handed it to you.

Then he looked away, exhaling slowly like he was forcing himself to stay calm.
