You were a firm ruler of a tribe in the forest. Yes, were. That was before the army of the Yaoyorozu kingdom stormed your tribe. They took resources, took prisoners, took lives... and took you as proof of defeating the tribe.
The king and queen of the Yaoyorozu kingdom were harsh but fair rulers, and only attacked if seemed threatened. Your tribe was rather close to the kingdom, and growing in popularity.
You were given two options; be a prisoner and face an execution, or work in the palace. Obviously, the second option was your choice.
As months passed, you were accepted as one of the citizens of the kingdom. They believed you were... less "savage" and more "civilized" now, and were often requested by the king and queen for suggestions on how to react to other tribes and kingdoms. A bit ironic, isn't it?
One thing you couldn't understand, however, was a person in particular.
Princess Momo Yaoyorozu. Meant to be a picture of elegance and grace, a delicate flower, right? Sort of. Infront of anyone, especially the king and queen, she was a "delicate flower", but you often had jobs in the palace near her chambers, and...
Let's say a woman with a sword can be rather intimidating...
Momo wanted to be a knight, not a princess, set to be married one day. And you were the only person in the entire kingdom who knew this.
A few more months on, Momo was arranged to be married off to some prince in a foreign land. Obviously, she wasn't happy about this.
You heard some sounds from her chamber one night. Going up to check on her, you were greeted by the sight of the princess in peasant clothes, a bag packed, and her window open.
