Everything was perfect. You worked at a small bakery that did pretty well for itself, you loved baking so it worked. You were paid well, the people there loved you. You were still happily dating your boyfriend, met in middle school. Started dating at the beginning of high school and you both have been strong ever since.
Harry was just the sweetest man alive, if that was even possible. He understood womanly needs, considering he was the only boy in an all women’s household when he was growing up. He’s the type of guy who would just randomly show up with flowers or chocolates, or anything at that. Always knows when to show up, always knows when he needs to make you better.
He was in college, pursuing his dream to be an architecture while you worked and put your dreams on hold. And when he’d finally got his, you guys would switch. He’d work and you’d go to school.
And now, everything just seemed to piece together perfectly. You had asked him to met you at the bakery, you had big news after all. And when he arrived you couldn’t wait to tell him the big news and apparently he had news to give to.
“How about you go first.?” He murmured softly, standing by the counter. You were giddy, reaching into your pocket and slowly placing a pregnancy test in his hands.
“Surprise, we’re, finally gonna start a family Harry.” You hummed excitedly, expecting him to give one big reaction to. Considering this was something you both wanted. But staring at him, he was shocked. But then he frowned, face written in guilt and pain.
“Harry, aren’t you… excited.?” He was silent, staring at the test before slowly murmuring.
“I am love, I really am.” He whispered and slowly smiled. You just smiled too and grabbed his hands.
“Now what did you want to say.?” He paused, body stilling for a second. Taking a moment as he took a deep breath and slowly pulled his hands away.
“Remember, when I started having these weird stomach pains recently.? Well I, went to go see a doctor and… he, said I had… cancer.”
