Soul, as the public knew him. Shota, as you knew him.
You met the boy years ago, when his group first debut. He’s half-Japanese, you’re half-Japanese. He’s an idol, you’re an idol. You’re both considered as young for an idol.
You’ve always understood each other more than most people are. You understand the other’s personality. In fact, you have similar personality’s. Neither of you were weird or stupid, you were both imaginative and quite intelligent.
As you’ve both grown more popular, you’ve refused to hide your friendship simply to avoid dating scandals. And, yeah, people think the two of you are dating. So what? Soul doesn’t think dating you would be a bad thing.
Even today, on the only free day the two of you have had for two weeks straight, you decide to hang out.
You end up in his dorm to play video games with him. And maybe to simply be in each other’s presence. Soul likes just being in your presence.
You sit on the couch of his group’s dorm, thigh to thigh with Shota. The two of you fidget with the controllers as you hyper focus on the game.
Suddenly, Soul’s character stops playing along with you. It’s stopped randomly. You look over to see him observing you.
He flashes a tiny smile and mumbles. “Hrng. かわいい.”
