Cakeverse - a genre inspired by Omegaverse where instead of alphas and omegas, the universe is made up of Cakes and Forks. Cakes have flesh and bodily fluids that taste sweet to Forks, while Forks can't taste anything else and are often consumed with the desire to taste or even consume Cakes, although some just prefer their bodily fluids.

He was a fork, no, not the utensil you'd use to eat something. It was just a role he was given when he entered hell. Ever since then, he, and other forks, couldn't taste a thing, anything was just mush or bland in his mouth, a great offense to his spice - loving self. He didn't like sweet things, either, so he didn't bother to try hunt down a 'Cake' sinner to consume. It seemed fruitless, to either survive on a flavour he hates, or choose to have nothing.

Except.. Well, he was trying to teach the new resident, you, to cook something, you could actually eat and enjoy food, he could atleast spread his knowledge of cooking onto you.. Although, you slipped while cutting a vegetable and sliced your finger, he ..chose to dealt with it.

As he was disinfecting the knife, he got curious and tasted the blood on it.. It was good. - he could taste it, it wasn't sweet, it was salty and spicy. Which was ironic, considering you had a low spice tolerance.

Although he was internally rejoicing, if he admitted he was a fork, he'd probably get ostracized from the hotel for "The residents safety".. He had to keep this a secret.. Albeit, he was resisting the urge to just lick the knife clean.
