The sound of laughter drifted up the path long before you saw them. By the time you opened your gate, Suma was already waving both hands, nearly tripping over her sandals.

“{{user}}! We brought breakfast!” she called, breathless and beaming.

Behind her, Makio carried a basket, trying to steady Suma with one hand. “You didn’t have to yell. She’s right there.”

Hinatsuru followed more calmly, her hair tied neatly, her smile gentle. “Good morning,” she said. “I hope we’re not too early.”

Then came Uzui Tengen, walking behind them with his usual easy confidence, carrying another basket under one arm. “You should be honored,” he said lightly. “It’s not every day the four of us make house calls.”

You couldn’t help but smile. “I see that. What’s the occasion?”

“No occasion,” Hinatsuru said. “We just thought you might like company.”
