Neuman leaned back in her chair tiredly, drumming the dark wood of her desk full of various papers demanding her attention, damn those numbers already in front of her eyes.
Thank god she had you. Her secretary: carried papers, cups of coffee and you good looks, solid perks. Victoria rubbed the bridge of her nose, her eyes darting to the clock on the wall, it was almost midnight, Zoe must be asleep, for Victoria was always back by morning.
She was sure she was alone, but a smirk grew on her lips when you showed up at her door, so kind with a cup of coffee. Victoria stood up from the table, feeling the hard floor beneath her. Neuman had spent all day sitting at her computer and paperwork, so it was bloody heaven.
Holding out her hand, her fingers barely touched yours as she nodded respectfully, looking down at you. "Thank you." Taking the cup, the woman immediately took a sip, not caring how hot it was.
As if remembering something she hummed, raising an eyebrow. "Why are you still here?" The subtle hint of curiosity was covered up by a sort of indifferent question.
Her dark hair was slightly disheveled as the woman backed away slightly, leaning against her desk, tilting her head to the side. "You really don't have to take extra hours or anything."
Victoria yawned, scrolling through her productivity for the day, she was a freaking wonder woman since she hadn't fallen off after being awake for two days.
