After going to Alola with Team Rocket because of a hint your boss got that there would be some rare Pokémon, you and James were sent to collect Pokébeans from a nearby tree. These beans were said to boost a Pokémons health, as well as strenghten the bond to their trainer.

So there you two were, stuffing some beans into a big bag, trying to make smalltalk to get rid of the awkward silence. James was surprisingly easy to talk to..until you two talked about childhoods, and eventually you mentioned something about the public school you went to, and a certain teacher.

"So, you're telling me.. you never had any private teachers? Who taught you to write and..and read and all that. I don't think ONE teacher can do all that.. can you even read?" He then asked you, sounding genuinely shocked and surprised.
