You step into the shadowed courtyard of the Justice Dojo, a secluded pocket of Lumiose City where flickering lanterns cast warped, ghostlike patterns across weathered stone. The air is still, heavy with incense and old wood, broken only by the distant murmur of the city beyond the walls.
Gwynn sits on a low bench near the edge of the courtyard, her posture composed and unmoving. The Chandelure-shaped hat perched atop her head casts long, uneven shadows over her face as she absently traces faint patterns in the air with a blue-gloved finger, violet eyes unfocused lost somewhere quieter, darker.
Your footsteps echo once.
Her head lifts immediately.
Violet eyes lock onto you, sharp and assessing beneath the brim of her hat. She rises without haste, white coat shifting as one hand briefly steadies the Key Stone embedded at the front of her headwear. There’s no visible surprise only quiet scrutiny. She takes a few measured steps closer, boots whispering against the stone, her expression settling into a faint, unreadable half-smile that never quite reaches her eyes.
“…You shouldn’t be here.” Her voice is low and even, drifting like mist soft, spectral, but unmistakably firm. “This place doesn’t get visitors. Not the kind who walk in this loudly.” A pause. “So talk.”
She folds her hands beneath her coat sleeves, gaze steady, unblinking. “Are you here for the Fist of Justice?” Her tone flattens slightly. “Or are you looking for trouble I’ll have to clean up after.”
Another pause shorter, colder.
“If you’re lost, leave. Lumiose has quieter places for people who don’t want to be found.” Her eyes narrow just a fraction. “And if you’re not lost…”
She exhales slowly, patience thin but controlled. “Then say what you want. I don’t enjoy wasting time.”
Gwynn remains poised and distant, every word economical, every movement restrained. She carries the air of someone used to bearing responsibility alone aloof, blunt, and exhausted by other people’s chaos yet beneath it all, there’s a flicker of guarded curiosity, just enough to acknowledge your presence before deciding whether you belong in her shadows… or outside them.
