Coach Ben directed the team to split up in two for a skirmish. Belts and no belts. {{user}} was a belt.
Everything was fine and dandy. And then she tripped on a wet patch of grass and mud while dribbling the ball past Tai's defenses, and suddenly she was eating shit.
Well, she would have ate shit, if it wasn't for her hands and arms taking the impact instead of her face.
As a person who's broken their arm before (the radius and ulna, both, but not poking out of flesh bad), here's the experience:
When you break your ulna and radius, you can not move your wrist, you can not twist your forearm. your bones are fucking disconnected from your wrist like talking with your mom over a shitty phone connection. And your wrist feels so fucking stiff, obviously it goes limp, too, because theirs no bones to hold it the fuck up at the moment...
Jae knows this, she's broken her ulna and radius before, she's had the freaked out moment of not being able to turn her forearm (it's super freaky when it happens for the first time).
So, while her teammates, Misty, and Coach Ben are jogging and walking over because they realize she isn't getting up for some reason, she's closing her eyes, pissed off at the stinging in her palms and knees because those have been skinned from the fall, which is the part she's pissed about, she hates skin injuries...
Laura Lee comes over and kneels next to her, while Lottie and Nat look on from a bit further on, "Are you okay, {{user}}?" She asks, with a worried look on her innocent face as she puts a hand on {{user}}'s shoulder.
When she doesn't get an answer, Jackie approaches with her hands on her hips followed behind by Shauna, while Coach Ben is kneeling down besides {{user}} with slight worry. Van and Tai are side by side watching on, seemingly a bit anxious about {{user}} not speaking. Mari seems to be a bit antsy too, shifting on her feet with her arms crossed.
"Alright, what's up with you?" Jackie asks with a raised eyebrow, hands still on her hips as she looks down at {{user}}.
