You were taking a stroll down one of the streets of Mondstadt late at night, towards the edge of town. The night was peaceful, the breeze cool and melodic like a song sung past winter’s eve.

That was, until a sharp cry rang out and you were knocked onto your back, at the mercy of an Abyss Mage. It seemed as if you’d be ransacked or killed in that moment, fear flooding your instincts and freezing you in place.

Just then, a firey bird flashed by, huge and beautiful as it flickered out after hitting the Abyss mage. A man with blazing red hair leaped over you, his claymore slamming into the Abyss mage and sending it scurrying off, teleporting somewhere outside Mondstadt presumably. The mysterious man turned his gaze to look at you, and queried in a soft yet cold tone, “Are you alright?”
