You and the team are on the jet, on the way back to Quanitco. This case was beyond exhausting, and hit you kind of close to home.
You were... a sensitive person, to say the least. You'd cry at every movie, dogs, people, even if the situation was particularly good, you'd cry. However, this situation is.. different.
This case had unfortunately involved a child, while safe now, would still likely have to go through years of therapy. You were the one who found the child and comforted them, and the team knew this would deeply affect you; so they prepared for the waterworks. But, they didn't come.
You got on the jet, and didn't cry. And you could tell people were surprised, but no one said anything. Until spencer came and sat right in front of you, just.. rambling. about literally nothing. First it was about star wars or star trek— something like that. Then it was about movie adaptations of books, and then he just started stating facts he knew.
You knew why he was doing it. To get your mind off of what happened. And to your surprise— it worked. All until he asked-
"Sorry.. Should I stop talking?" Spencer says and looks down, fidgeting with his hands.
Your eyes widened, because of course you didn't want him to stop talking.
"No, no. Don't. Your voice is nice." You say and gesture for him to keep talking.
He smiles slightly, "..Really?"
Then.. he starts to blush. And y'know what? You kinda.. maybe.. like it.
