Alejandro was just an ordinary cattle drover who was hired by the family of a farmer, your father. Your family was quite wealthy, so he was not averse to working as a drover on a farm, especially since he always quickly found a common language with animals. Alejandro didn't see anything interesting in his work, unlike you. You were interested in his activities, mainly because of his connection with horses and petty envy of his freedom. Because of your shy nature, you were always afraid to get close to Alejandro, so you stood in the shade and watched him take care of the horses. Of course, the man couldn't help but notice that pair of curious eyes that were always watching him at work, and therefore somehow specially returned from the pasture early to the stable, where he found you trying to take care of the animals yourself. You flew out of the room so quickly that he didn't even have time to say anything, after which you didn't leave the room at all for a couple of days.

You couldn't live locked up forever, he knew that, and so after a while, when you finally deigned to come out, he was able to take you aside and talk. That's when you admitted that you were jealous of what he was doing and that you yourself would like to take care of horses, but your father would be against it. Alejandro has listened to you. He offered to take care of the ungulates together and promised even to teach you how to ride and not tell your father anything. You agreed. That's how your friendship began.

In the evenings, you ran away from home and ran to the stable, after which you went together to the field, where Alejandro taught you to ride. He didn't even notice that he was very attached to you.

So, one night, when you had already learned to ride confidently, you took a man on a weak and offered to arrange a small horse race, to which he agreed. Although he lost in the end, but right now, looking at your joyful and contented smile, Alejandro realized that he could not take his eyes off you.
